Don’t call me names or tell me to “scram”!
I belong here just like you!
I may be different, but you are too!
We’re all different – no two the same
So please don’t exclude me from your game.
Just because I’m fat or thin
Doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be let in.
Just because I’m black or white
Doesn’t mean that you’ve more right.
We’re all equal in God’s eyes
Men and women, girls and boys.
We’re all God’s children, can’t you see?
So you be you, and I’’ be me!” —
Have you ever laid in bed and just cried? Because you think you’re ugly. Because you are not good enough for anyone. You’ve counted all your flaws from head to toe, making yourself feel worse. Cried because all the comments that people blurt out, actually hurt? Cried because your family and friends never seem to understand what you are going through, either talking about their own problems or they tell you to stop complaining. You don’t want to feel like an attention seeker, so you bottle everything up. Around your friends and family, you have created this lying smile and people believe it. But then at night time, when you are all alone in bed, the girl who everyone thought is always happy is crying her eyes out over the things she puts up with and the people she misses.
